There are stylish bird-watching excursions and a wildflower-gathering expedition under the big sky of Texas. The glory of the Tetons serves as a backdrop for a glamorous bonfire, and there is a beautifully choreographed dinner with a lunar theme on a Manhattan terrace. These and many more unique parties showcase Lela’s creative flair with dozens of tips and takeaways. From always choosing a specialty cocktail to picking a pretty dress to match the theme of the party, this book shows the importance of celebrating life’s everyday moments with the people who matter most.

More Beautiful: All-American Decoration, by Mark D. Sikes (September 1, 2020)

Interior designer Mark D. Sikes burst onto the publishing scene with his New York Times best-selling first book, Beautiful. His new book, aptly titled More Beautiful, picks up where the first left off, in a celebration of classic, all-American decorating. The rooms featured in More Beautiful are divided into five distinct styles, all of which exude the happiness that comes with surrounding oneself with things you love. "Traditional" is chockablock with vibrant color, antique furniture, and heady doses of trim and pattern. "Country" is a new take on the style, where distressed finishes and modern silhouettes mingle for a warm welcome. "Coastal" is streamlined, with natural woven fibers, sun-faded linen and neutrals, and blues and whites galore. "Mediterranean" evokes faraway lands, with a saturated palette, ornate tiles and ikats, and iron details. Finally, there's "Beautiful": a peek inside Mark's own Hollywood Hills home, which nods to all of his favorite design signatures--including Italian wicker, blue and white, Anglo-Indian antiques, and more. With all-new photography by Amy Neunsinger, the book will inspire with rooms that are light-filled and crisply patterned, chic yet comfortable, and just the way people want to live today.

Elements of Beauty: The Art of Decorating, by Kathryn O’Shea-Evans (October 20, 2020)

Our innate desire for beauty is every bit as powerful as our yearning for love and happiness. But a beautiful life doesn't require a private estate, as anyone who has woken up to a simple bedside bouquet of fragrant lilac cuttings from the garden can attest. It just requires an observant eye, open to finding and appreciating the beauty in design and in daily living.

The editors of Veranda spoke with interior designers, architects and landscape designers about how they introduce elements of beauty into the spaces they design so lovingly. Their special touches can be found in many surprising places: the intricate shadows cast by a chandelier on a dining room ceiling; the billowing sheer curtains hung from ceiling to floor in a living room; the sense of balance found when strolling by a gallery wall arranged in simple symmetry. Often, it's those moments that bring loveliness to your hours and with it, your spirit.

The New Glamour: Interiors with Star Quality, by Jeff Andrews (April 2019)

Kourtney Kardashian. Kris Jenner. Kaley Cuoco. These Hollywood stars and more have turned to Jeff Andrews to deliver his trademark high style to their homes. In his first book, Jeff Andrews guides us through the bold spaces he has created for his celebrity clients, while sharing his philosophy on design, exploring topics such as creating a vision and keeping unexpected choices elegant and cohesive; cultivating cinematic style with sweeping staircases and a feeling of extravagance, while never insisting on buttoned-up formality. Throughout, Andrews reminds us that interiors must be balanced--whether it's making sure that even the most sophisticated house has a sense of welcome, or adding an element of rusticity, like grasscloth walls, to an otherwise sleek modern space. Captivating light fixtures, luxe-yet-comfortable furniture, and carefully curated collections come together for a modern take on old Hollywood glamour that will inspire and instruct. Colorful and fun, this is a sourcebook of cool California living at its best.
